K-12 Tutoring Programs
Group Math & Science 6th-12th
Directed by Jasen, MIT; TJ, Columbia Math and Science are among the most challenging subjects in school, our teaching staff has a deep knowledge and mastery of the material and many years of experience with the local school districts and their teachers.
Advanced Math Club 4th-8th
This program is designed for those who would like to aspire to a higher level of math skills. ​Through the teaching of our experienced instructor, our students have achieved "Top Independent Scorer" in the Math Field Day and Math Count competitions.
Phonics/ Early Reading PreK-1st
Research has demonstrated that an understanding of how letters relate to the component sounds of words is important in reading. Systematic phonics instruction produces higher achievement for beginning readers and prepare students for early reading success.
ModernBrain® Speech & Debate
Join our fast growing speech and debate team! Learn speech, acting, and debate from our top coaches. Learn to express yourself, have fun, and win awards, all while doing something that is great for college!
Young Writers Book Club 2nd-9th
Young Writers Book Club aims to provide students with the interesting and good quality books that they might never otherwise read. Students will also practice writing skills based on the club reading materials.
ERB/ISEE/SSAT Prep
Our test prep program teaches and reinforces the fundamental skills needed to achieve a high score on either the ERB or SBAC. Students practice for their respective test level using authentic test material in order to gain familiarity with the test format and to work toward mastering the material in each topic.
SAT/ACT Prep Courses
SAT / Subject Test / AP Prep Course
Students who want to get into highly selective colleges need to get high scores on their standardized tests; 4's and 5's on the APs, and 700's and higher (out of 800) on 2 or more Subject Tests.
COGNOS® SAT/ACT Prep
Students will practice for the SAT/ACT using the COGNOS® methodology developed at Peninsula Academy. This system has students practice with real SAT/ACT tests from past years to build mental stamina and develop effective test-taking strategies. Instructors break down the sections of the test and teach students how to think and reason the way the test makers do.
College Counseling
It is never too early to start planning for college. Peninsula Academy's College Counseling team helps students identify and build on their strengths, improve their weaknesses, and enable them to take actionable, strategic steps to maximize their odds of admission into their dream colleges.
