Penisula Academy College Acceptance Update

Fall 2023

During the 2022-2023 admissions process, the competition among colleges and universities in the US reached new heights. A record number of applicants vied for a limited number of spots, resulting in an unprecedented wave of rejections. However, our students managed to distinguish themselves from their peers, securing acceptances at some of the most esteemed institutions across the country. As of June 1, 2023, all 26 students we assisted were granted admissions. Impressively, 83% of them received acceptances from at least one of their top three choices, with 42% gaining admission to a Top 20 college or university, 46% to a Top 30 institution, and 75% to a Top 50 school. Noteworthy acceptances include prestigious institutions such as MIT, University of Washington in St. Louis, UCLA, UC Berkeley, USC, New York University, Boston University, Williams College, Amherst College, Pomona College, and many others. Our students represent a diverse range of academic backgrounds, boasting unweighted GPAs between 2.9 and 4.0 and weighted GPAs between 2.9 and 4.9. They pursue various interests, including business, computer science, physics, data science, electrical engineering, and design, to name just a few.

I was a student here from middle school and up to college. TJ and the other tutors helped me through various AP classes, Spanish, and ACT prep. I had a 28 ACT score originally, but with the 8-week prep course I jumped to a 33! I could not be more grateful to have such an amazing tutor program close to home. They guided me through so much of my education and even helped me choose the best undergrad college for my career choice (Pre-Dental). I was admitted to UC Berkeley and University of Michigan among many other schools with the help of Pen Acad and TJ!! Thank you!!! Highly recommend to students of all ages.
