Meet Our Instructors

Luke
Born and raised in Palo Alto, California, Luke spent two years at Harvard College before transferring to Stanford University, where he earned his B.A. in English. Since 2003, he has helped hundreds of students achieve academic excellence, with a strong focus on SAT and ACT preparation. An expert in test strategy and score optimization, he has helped students increase their scores by an average of 200 points on the SAT and 4 points on the ACT, using clear, repeatable methods for mastering reading and writing. In addition to test prep, Luke is a seasoned college counselor who has guided students to admissions at top universities such as Stanford, UC Berkeley, Brown, and MIT, and he is committed to making the learning process both efficient and empowering while building lasting confidence and independence.

Sergiej
Sergiej holds a PhD in History from the University of Edinburgh and is currently an Adjunct Professor at Torrey Honors College, Biola University. He has published with major academic presses, including Brill and Oxford University Press, and has extensive experience helping students from high school through graduate school prepare for admissions, interviews, and standardized testing, including the SAT. In working with students, Sergiej focuses on both the expression and substance of their work, strengthening the analytical reading and writing skills essential for strong SAT performance while guiding them to craft compelling college applications that clearly reflect their distinct strengths and genuine passions.

Matthew
Matthew is a student at Stanford University studying Computer Science and Economics and is the co-founder of a defense startup focused on drone swarm technology, where he also conducts robotics research. His accomplishments include a first-place finish at DECA Internationals, experience in venture capital, directing a TEDx event, and winning TreeHacks. Matthew scored a 1580 on the SAT on his first attempt as a sophomore, and he leverages this experience to help students maximize their performance through effective strategies and targeted practice. He works closely with students to build both confidence and strategic thinking, guiding them to approach standardized tests and academic challenges with clarity and precision.
