USC Summer Study

Peninsula Academy student enrolls in USC's summer program for Psychological Science and Society.

Rachel (pseudonym to protect student anonymity), a 10th-grade female student, is uncertain which college majors she would like to pursue. So two of our counselors have been working with her to identify an intended major that best suits her academic and professional strengths and interests.

Among the several college majors Rachel is currently exploring, she is mostly fascinated by psychology: Why are people the way that they are and do things that they do? What can psychological science teach us about human and the world? How can we use this knowledge to construct a life worth living? Now Rachel cannot wait to delve into these questions by studying Psychological Science and Society this summer at USC, a rigorous, four-week college level course. Congratulations, Rachel!
