Winter/Spring 2024 Program

Classes Start January 15

College Counseling | 6th-11th

Our comprehensive college counseling services enable students to identify their passion and college dreams and pursue those goals with strategic planning and persistence. From selecting courses, building extracurricular profile, choosing colleges and majors, to editing essays, our counselors help each student unlock their full potential. Last year, 81% of our students were accepted by at least one of their top three choices, 44% by a Top 20, 81% by a Top 30, and 94% by a Top 50! SAT Course (In Person)

Whether you plan to take the SAT in March, May or June 2023, you will see immediate results with our SAT Intensive program, where you’ll get hands-on practice on real SATs and master proven strategies to ace each section. 

Schedule:

  • Saturday: Practice test (every other week) 1pm-4:30 pm 
    Sunday: Class 2-5 pm

Online SAT | Sunday 10 am-12 pm

In this results-oriented course, students will learn the most essential strategies for maximizing their scores. Topics include how to handle time pressure, speed reading, multiple choices, and how to identify the common patterns in “trap” answers. All materials are drawn from real SAT tests over the past five years, ensuring accurate and timely information.

SAT/ACT One-on-One Prep

Private sessions are available for SAT/ACT preparation. Tutors develop personalized lesson plans that address students’ needs for improvement. Students receive extra practice, instruction, and the one-on-one attention they need to succeed.

New! GPA OnTrack | 7-12th

As the SAT/ACT requirements become uncertain among colleges, maintaining a high GPA is more important than ever. This program is designed to support students and ease any concerns they have about adequate learning. Our highly qualified tutors are trained to target precisely the areas in which comprehension can be boosted and new skills applied, and in doing so eliminate frustration that can get in the way.


In small-sized classes students will get help in Math (up to pre-calculus), all levels of Science (except AP), English, and all Social Studies & History subjects.

  • Mon-Thu, 4-6 pm

AP Macroeconomics | 9th-11th

Our AP Macroeconomics is designed for students who are interested in economics, finance, and business, and would like to challenge themselves by taking additional AP classes outside of school. Students will be prepared to take the two AP exams in May 2024.

  • Sunday, 3-5 pm

Competition Prep | 4-12th

Participating in competitions helps students flex their intellectual muscles, deepen their passion in their chosen field, and help them stand out in college admissions. We offer private and group classes for prestigious competitions in math, physics, computer science, economics, psychology, and writing. Students are challenged to develop exceptional talents and encouraged to push to the limits of their academic abilities.

Young Writers Book Club | 2nd-7th

Book Clubs aim to provide students with interesting and good-quality books that they might never otherwise read. Students will also practice writing skills, brainstorming, outlining, and editing skills based on the club reading materials.

Schedule:

  • K-1st , Phonics/Early Reading : Friday 4-5 pm, Phonics/Early Reading

  • 2nd-3rd: Monday 5-6 pm

  • 4th-5th: Friday, 3:30-5 pm

  • 6th-7th: Thursday, 4:30-6 pm

Advanced Math Club | 4th-8th

This program is designed for those who would like to aspire to a higher level of math skills. Our instructors are dedicated to stimulating enthusiasm and strengthening intuition in mathematical problem-solving. Many of our students have received Honor Roll certificates on the AMC 8, AMC 10 & AMC 12, been invited to AMIE, and also received high scores on Math Olympiads.

  • 4/5th: Tuesday, 3:30-5 pm

  • 6th-8th: Wednesday, 4-5:30 pm

Dynamic Essay Writing | 6th-11th

This online class teaches the fundamentals of academic writing, with a focus on persuasive and analytical essays. There will be an emphasis on literary fiction, though nonfiction and poetry will also feature. Students will learn to identify themes and subtext, analyze characters, and discuss their relationships and goals. They will practice commenting on literary devices such as symbolism, metaphor, allegory, irony, and satire/social commentary. In this class, students will prepare for the writing competition, Scholastic Writing Competition and New York Times Writing Competition as well.

  • 6th/7th: Fri 3:30-5 pm

  • 8th and up: Sat 1:30-3 pm

Speech and Debate | 1st-8th

Join our fast-growing speech and debate team! Learn speech and debate from our partner ModernBrain's top coaches. Our students have gone on to win national debate competitions and earn internships with the Supreme Court and Congress. Learn to express yourself, have fun, and win awards!

Art | K-12th

Our art program is innovatively designed to explore the exciting world of art and creativity through a wide range of activities. Each week will begin with a different theme aiming to fulfill students’ aartistic needs. Students work with a professional teacher to produce unique works of art, explore diverse themes, focus on the creative process, and develop their imagination and creativity. Our teacher has in-depth and longstanding experience helping to promote young artists' creative contents and works. Many of her previous/current students have received awards from local/national/international art contests.

  • Tuesday 3:30-5 pm

  • Saturday 9:30-11 am

 1:1 SCAT/ISEE/SSAT/ERB | 2nd-8th

Whether your child prepares for SCAT, ISEE or SSAT, the experienced instructors will  cover the key skills, build vocabulary and strengthen reading comprehension along with strategies you need to succeed on the SCAT/ISEE/SSAT.
